I've called it "NorTrike", and as you will understand most of the contents here takes part in the air
and are related to a huge passion of mine,- flying my microlight trike. On this site you will find
information about microlight trikes, flying from land or water.
I am Frode, I live on the westcoast of Norway and most of my airtime is in the local area.
The site is based on galleries with pictures and videos taken from the microlight. There is also a
gallery with pictures of microlights, some are mine, others are collected from the web.News is uploaded below, latest updates at the top.

Pictures from a trip I had to my friends at Dalsoyra. After spending the night there I and Kjell had a fantastic flight along Sognefjorden. I captured a lot of pictures, hope you enjoy them.
I will continue to use the new album-type. Please let me know if you experience problems.
I have now ordered a new wing (Profi TL) wich is a lot faster, so I am really looking forward to long cross-country flights in 2009!

I had my first flight to eastern Norway with Hamar as destination. A fantastic experience watching the nature and scenery change along the journey. I am testing a new gallery on Nortrike. Picture quality is good, and you can watch slideshows etc. I have added text above each picture. Click the thumbnail to open the gallery.

My apologises for not updating NorTrike in a long time! I am also sorry for not answering all of you that wrote in my guestbook! I have no good excuse. I drift several other websites, and last autumn I just got fed-up and tired. I have been busy with off-piste skiing this winter, traveling a lot. My flying season started last week, and it felt real good! I am now ready for some serious cross-country flying, and I will blow the dust of my camera-equipment again.

It's from a two-hours flight I had in May. Nothing special, but the conditions were nice.
Altitude varies from 100 to 7500ft. Camera fitted on my helmet.

I have made a movie from a trip I had with my brother north to flying friends at Dalsoyra.
We then flew together 100km east to Voss. My brother Svein Vidar has captured most
of the film with my handheld camera. Hope you like it...

I decided to have a trip to my flyin'n friends at Dalsoyra 120km further north
to have a look at Roy's new Aeros trike.
The day started with low fog, but it soon cleared and I was off. I had a great
trip in smooth air.

Olivier Aubert and Mike Blyth has recently released their new Trike-movie "Coast to Coast"
In this adventure they fly from east to west in Africa. I just recived the DVD and have already watched it three times. It is a fantastic film and I recomend it to all trike and adventure enthusiasts. Also recomended is their earlier DVD "South to South" in wich they fly from Argentina to SouthAfrica, a trip of 43000 km! Klick on the picture to access the Trike-expedition website.

01.11. Finally a new video! After all the enginetrouble I finally had a long session in the air filming a lot. The sun was hidden behind clouds, but the air was calm and conditions were great. My brother in the passengerseat controlled the camera which was mounted over his head at the mast. I tried a few other angles too. The movie is 10minutes+ and about 50mb's. The flight goes through walleys, along the fjords and around our lovely mountain-peaks ,places which I never will get bored flying in. I really hope jou enjoy this one.
25.10. I have installed a new heating-system for the inlet air to avoid carb-icing. Earlier this summer icing happened at a flight in rather warm weather and it was not an enjoyable experience. Aeros has built the system for the Aeros2 trike and the finish is very good. Klick on the thumbnail to see more pictures.
I also finally got my new fuelpump and the 912 now works fine.

I'm still waiting for the new fuelpump to arrive. I really hate the norwegian mail system. You can order stuff from China and have them the same week. But if you're sending something from our nabour Sweeden you can double that time! A shame. There has been lots of days with beautiful weather for flying since I was grounded due to mechanical problems.
22.08. I have uploaded a new movie to the library. Nothing special, just a short bumpy flight near the airfield to test my new "bulletcamera". I hoped the lense had a wide angle, but it turned out it was quite narrow. Anyway, It has to do for now.
The Aeros trike works really well, I've flown it for 29hrs now and enjoy her more each time I take her for a flight. I'll be home from work all september and hope to do some great captures with the camera during that period.
27.07 I had my first cross-country flight at tuesday 26.07. It was a lovely evening flight to an small airfield in Gulen 120 km northwest of my home. A couple of trikes joined me for the last few kilometres and on the ground I was served a cold beer. I cruised at 110km/h and with a light headwind I flew for one hour and fifteen minutes. 02.07 This weekend there was a microlight gathering in Fyresdal, Telemark.
This is the big happening for microlight pilots in Norway, and if the weather is fine there is allways a lot of microlights. This year was no exeption and over forty microlights showed up, fourteen of those was trikes. Unfortunately I had to go by car, but I had a great weekend. Click on the picture to read more.
