03.05.2007  A 270km trip north to Dalsoyra.

Soon after takeoff I discovered low fog in the distance. I was afraid that I had to turn back, but after some kilometres the air slowly dried and it was safe to go on. After 45 minutes I passed the bridge connecting Osteroy to the mainland. Osteroy is Norway's largest "inland" islands.
My friend Roy just recieved his new Aeros trike, and I decided to fly up and have a look at it.
I decided to get away early due to the mid-day turbulence, but the morning started with low fog so I had to wait. I made the trike ready, and at 11:30 the fog had disapeared and the air was clear. It seamed to be a beautiful day...
I landed on the grass-strip and taxied over to the hangar and parked. Roy rolled his new trike out so I could have a look at it. It was similar to mine exept for the topless wing and the finned wheelspats. It looked strange without the mast on the wing....as something was missing.
Roy then had a short flight and I took some pictures. The speed of the Profi TL is awsome. About 15kmh faster than mine handsoff (125kmh). It was nice to watch an Aeros trike from the ground for once:)
After a while Asgeir and Jan Ture arrived with the Zenair 701 on floats. We had a great time that afternoon.
I took off and headed south again. Roy and his son followed me a short time. After 45minutes the familiar mountains was visible in the distance. The trip was enjoyable and I landed in calm conditions just before the sun dissapeared behind the mountains.

I passed Osteroy in beautiful calm conditions. It was some haze, but the scenery was fantastic. I sat back in the seat and relaxed with two fingers on the bar and enjoyed the flight. I soon passed Lindaas and turned a bit south to have a trip over Austrheim. I could see the island "Fedje" in the distance.

I again headed north and passed Austfjorden with the Mongstad oilrafinery on my right.
Then flew along Eidsfjorden and entered the final destination Dalsoyra. You can spot the hangar in the middle of the picture.
